Haiti Relief Update 1/17 9:59 pm
The team is back at base camp in the Domincan Republic and all are safe. Today the team split into 3 different groups to maximize their ability to investigate opportunites for ministry.
One team headed to the border of Haiti and reached 30 miles from the capital. It was a fruitful trip as they were able to not only get into Haiti, but also connect with another ministry already serving in the area and gather valuable information about the surrounding areas and the needs at present.
Another team made thier way to a fishing town in order to investigate the possibility of accessing a large city in Haiti by boat. They were able to establish one possible lead but will be searching out the possiblilty of travelling there by aircraft as it may be more effecient and alot safer.
The last team stayed back at base camp and prepared the house they are staying at to better accomodate future missions teams and the storage of necessary supplies.
All of them are now gathered for prayer and worship to close their day of ministry.
Please continue to pray for their safety and open doors.
